The term "member" may sound exclusive but our membership range is broad. If you live work, worship or go to school in Atoka, Coal, Haskell, Hughes, Latimer, McIntosh, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg or Pushmataha Counties, then you are eligible to join First Family. Even if your immediate family is a current member, you can open a savings account with us at a minimum of $5.00 per account. We now have five locations with two in Okmulgee, Henryetta, McAlester and in Checotah at 111 S. Paul Carr Dr.

First Family has been operating for our members since 1956 with a variety of services: great loan rates, competitive savings and CD rates, free checking with e-statements, free debit cards, free online BillPay, free mobile app and so much more. We’re always growing and changing to the needs of our members. Expansions are taking place, new locations are being built and new services are being offered. For example, members can now deposit checks on their smartphone with Mobile Deposit. 

Your investments are secure at First Family. Savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency. First Family Board of Directors are elected from membership and serve in a volunteer capacity. Election is held annually at the Annual Meeting and each member is invited to attend and have a vote.
